Stewart mentioned in new RUSH interview

Stewart mentioned in new RUSH interview

Postby secretjourneyranch on 04 Oct 2010 20:51

Here is an interesting interview with all 3 members of RUSH from last Tuesday.
They just finished their US Time Machine Tour which was fantastic.

The interviewer asks about longevity and mentions Stewart Copeland as a reference point.

Anyway...its for you SAC completists out there...

Thanks, SJR. I really enjoyed that interview even though I'm not much of a Rush fan.

I'm still getting my head around the idea of Neil Pert riding his motorcycle from gig to gig while on tour. Talk about doing things on your on terms! A nasty patch of gravel on the road could spell an end to the whole tour. During Tourzilla, Stewart was barely even allowed to look at a horse, let alone ride one.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

I wasn't able to open it ("stack overflow # blah, blah, blah...") Can someone post the interview here? Sounds interesting.

Go here and get the latest Flash player. This forum won't show embedded videos, and you would still need the Flash upgrade to see it.

It's touring on your own terms. I finished Neil's book 'Ghost Rider' last month ....The peace and clarity he gets from being anonymous on the open road and especially back-roads, enables him to work through virtually anything. I'm not sure if SAC gets peace and clarity from Polo ponies, but whatever works to keep these guys doing what they do best.

I'm sure if Peart wasn't the ultra successful multi platinum drummer he is, there would be some contract clauses with LiveNation regarding his off stage activities...

My, Neil is getting chatty lately! 8)
I love how Neil responds to that CNN db's almost unrelenting questions about the "dark and difficult" period. I was almost expecting a walk-off if the guy asked one more question about it...

Terrific interview! Thanks for posting!

I think that Neil is finally starting to realize that "the dark time" is going to be brought up from time to time and it's just something he's going to have to deal with as gracefully as he can.

His blogs are a great read. They're called "News, Weather and Sports". www.neilpeart.net
