Well, I met the guy who did all of the Pink Floyd historical covers of their LP!!!
I have to tell you that when I was 6/7 years old I was already listening to Pink Floyd, as my sisters, ten years older than me, used to listen to them a lot. I was in love with their music but what impressed me a lot was the weird covers they adopted to accompany the release of a new record.
A few days ago I met Storm Thorgerson, the man who worked with Pink Floyd and did all those photographs and covers of their albums; what a surprise reading that he was here in Milano for the opening of an exhibition of these pics, enlarged, accompanied by some other shots never used, incredible!
I love some of their albums, mainly WHISH YOU WERE HERE; I still listen to it every now and then and feel the same chills I had when I listened to it the first time when it was released.
Reading how the guy decided to take that pic of the man in flame, reading why they ended up with that cover, and having the guy there in front of me...well, priceless!

Here some of the cover art:

I was driving behind some high end SUV on the highway several weeks ago and the tire cover was the prism from Dark Side Of The Moon ( I think I have that right. I'm a bit rusty on my Pink Floyd). Some of us grew up to get good jobs, make money, and laud the heroes of our youth in contemporary fashion. Wild!

Thanks for the link, Gio.
