Deitmar, I don't know if I'll ever forgive you. You may have scarred me for life with this. How could you post something so evil and vile. I'll explain.
You see, I grew up in the one true religion. We knew it was the truth because we had to go to church every second day, and devote countless hours to it. I was also a huge smurf fan, having well over 100 figurines and the like. Well you remember, the whole world was swept up in the smurfs. It was so bad that all the little kids in my one true religion did not want to go knocking on peoples doors every Saturday because we wanted to watch the smurf cartoon. The leaders of my one true religion decided that they would kindly tell us a little about the origins of the smurf. Since you're an unbeliever at this time, I'll take the time to tell you a little bit about what I was told
In Canada, smurf means demon in Spanish. In America, it meant demon in French.
One time, a smurf was at the Kingdom Hall, (somewhere by Jose) and got so agitated by the sermon that he came to life, stood up and shouted "I can't take this shit anymore" Then he promptly lit a cigarette and stormed out the door
Another smurf tried to choke a baby that was sleeping at one of the meetings. It took 4 men to pry it off the child
And lastly, one child awake to all of his figurines dancing on his bed chanting, we're gonna eat you, we're gonna eat you!
So you can see how this thread could be considered inappropriate. I certainly don't like the idea that Stewart, Sting and Andy are demons that will chop your head off when you're sleeping. Thank you

Hey D,
When I was growing up in Berlin I have this vague memory that they were called schlumpfs rather than smurfs. I remember my sister getting angry when we moved back to the states and people called them smurfs. Do you recall them having a German name similar to this? BTW, I don't think I have the spelling correct.
Oh, and I don't think Stewart would chop off anyone's head while they were sleeping. I think he would wake as a zombie, eat a small child or two, and then go back to sleep. Or something like that.

in Germany they are called "Schlümpfe"
in France it's "Schtroumpfs" if I'm not mistaken

Wasn't there a quite scary bloke called something like Father Abreham involved?
I think he had a false beard.
I didn't like the false beard.
