Sting/Tonight Show Tues June 8th

Are any other L.A. nutters going to this? I've never done the Tonight Show. Do you just line up, or do you need some sort of online ticket ala Jimmy Kimmel?

I've never done it myself.
But I live in Burbank, CA and use to work right by NBC, the studio is on Olive Ave.
They usually start lining up around 1pm.
Maybe a bit more of a crowd since it is summer and that's a big thing for tourist to do.
But I think you line up and it's first come first serve.
If you there early there is pleanty of places to eat. There is an El Torrito mexican resaturant directly across the street.
May want to check out the NBC website for more details?
I am not going but good luck to any nutters that try.

I went to the Tonight Show once and I know that some people got there very early! As I remember we arrived a couple of hours before the taping, but it was in October, if that makes a difference.

Queens of the Stone Age were the band that night. Not that I'd heard of them at that point! Pretty cool. And talking of cool, the studio was FREEZING so take a jacket! Hope you get in.
Cheese comes as standard. From Ben Hur to Borough Market, we've got it covered.

Except for Englishman In New York, I really have not liked any of the symphonicity songs that I've heard so far. I especially have not liked ELTSDIM and the Next to You version on the Today show. BUT, last night, I thought that performance of Next To You was EXCELLENT! I was really shocked how agressive and fast-paced it was, in fact I think they played it at a faster tempo than The Police did during Tourzilla. Now I'm swaying about whether or not to buy this album when it comes out.

For those that did not get in.

Interesting, the band is added this time and back up singers and Sting's got a guitar.

a gibson?! it's better now you can hear the guitars, but it feels icky.

i like the outro... and how annoying, he seems to have perked up a bit now with strings behind him but when he had guitars bass and drums (night after night after night after night for ages, admittedly) he thought he'd grow a beard.
