hi

Cherry Vanilla's book now has a release date and a name.
"Lick Me" will be out on November 1, 2010. Here's the cover:

Her story will end with The Police in April 1977. I've asked about how many pages will be there about her times with The Police and will add that information here...

Thanks, hon! I bet this'll be a heck of a read. I know you're friends with Cherry, so maybe your encyclopedic knowledge of things from that time period will be a help.

p.s. Hey everybody: Check out today's entry on the Police wiki for a great flyer with a poster of Cherry. Thanks Dietmar!!

I'll definitely have to give it a read. I'm not sure how I feel about Cherry "personally" at this point (as I thought her "contributions" to the wretched "Walking on the Moon" book felt like sour grapes to the max, and some of my friends who are massive glamrock/70s fans & historians despise her), but it should be an amusing read, if nothing else.

there will be about 20 pages about her times with The Police
it was a short time after all
and Sting and Stewart didn't always find the nicest words to say about her
whatever - it will definitely be an interesting read

and I think it's really funny that EVERYBODY has now written a book
Sting, Andy, Stewart, Henry, Cherry - who will do the next one ?

It's surprising Miles hasn't written a book yet. I'd love to read THAT.

I recently heard her two CDs. Interesting from a historical point of view.

I'm doing the wiki!
A book is a fascinating idea, but only the wiki can be up to date with the latest "discoveries" of strange information...

Yeah, I wondered what ever happened to the book he mentioned in this podcast interview several years ago? http://www.electricsky.net/miles-copeland/

Yeah, a Miles book would be high on my list of things to read. The tales that guy could probably tell.

There was "A Visual Documentary by Miles" in the early 80's, but I don't think it was the complete story.

I agree. I'll certainly check it out, as I've always had a fond spot for that brief period in Police/music history. She may not be the most liked person of that scene, but she certainly was there, ya know?
