My Dream was THE POLICE in PERU 2007, then 2008..., but a bastard peruvian producer played bad with another one who wanted to bring THE POLICE to my country, the result the bastard won and put the re-united argentinian trio rock band "Soda Stereo" (with Gustavo Cerati) instead of THE POLICE on National Stadium of Lima (two gigs sold out with around 100,000 peruvian fans) ... Now I don't know, that day I had lot of nightmares, nowadays PERU is an interesting place for rock bands, with plenty of success on sales and international rock bands satisfied with the hot vibes and reactions of peruvian fans... that's the result of an streets parade for claiming to peruvian national congress for reducing the taxes to international musical events...since those days (I put the idea of the parade) on december 5th 2007...lot of bands came to Lima: Kiss, Oasis, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, The Killers, Megadeth, REM, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Duran Duran, and more... next days Beyonce, Ferdinand, and Pitbull...
My dream was broked, but my hopes still alive... I really know some of the members of THE POLICE will arrive to Peru for palying a concert... (Andy was in Peru on January 2009) I hope Stewart and Andy landed for playing rock... but the most close is taht Sting will be here as soon as I could imagine... I don't if you know, but in PERU, "THE POLICE" is one of the top rock bands of rock n'roll history...a rock band that every peruvian loves and respect
