Whelp...after years of promising (re: threatening) to digitize some audio of a Stewart Copeland appearance on Howard Stern in 1988, I FINALLY put it together tonight.
I think I have about 60 mins worth of audio - and it's apparently not the entire segment because I distinctly remember parts of the conversation that are not on this tape. (Or maybe Stewart was actually on another time and I have another tape laying around somewhere).
A little about the interview...it took place at Abbey Road studios in London (I believe) in August, 1988...Stewart was a guest with some girl Mandy who was married to Bill Wyman when she was 13. After she leaves (rather angrily), singer Louise Goffin (Carole King's daughter) comes in and joins Stewart and Howard.
There are some interesting and funny moments on here...Not all of it's great and of course Howard isn't everyone's cup of tea. But it is pretty rare audio, as I don't think it was ever replayed in a Best-Of situation. Maybe our Lord Stewart hasn't even heard it since
Anyway...would anyone want to recommend a good, free site to upload this stuff if anyone wants to download it? I'd rather not YouTube it.
