2 Police songs on jazz CD, including Contact

I saw a reference today to a live jazz CD by the Frederic Alarie Trio called "LIVE A VIENNE."

The track list includes 2 Police covers, Walking on the Moon and Contact (a song credited to STUART Copeland), as well as tracks written by jazz greats Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis.

Has anyone heard that CD? I am tempted to get it for the version of Contact.

Frederic Alarie also did a CD with Art Johnson called "Contact", but it doesn't seem to have Stewart's (or Stuart's) Contact on the CD entitled Contact.

Full track list:
Fee-fi-fo-fun (Wayne Shorter)
Contact (Stuart Copeland [sic])
Juju (Wayne Shorter)
Turbulence (Frederic Alarie)
Les Voleurs D'Ame (Michel Lambert)
So What (Miles Davis)
Walking On The Moon (Sting)

Thanks for the info! We'll have to add reference to the cover to the wiki.

One of the many things I love about this site is that someone is always coming up with something different to listen to/ read/watch. The list just got bigger and I need to win the lottery - Twice!

I ended up getting the CD.

I enjoy both Contact and Walking on the Moon.

It is very jazzy so I doubt if Contact's composer would appreciate this version of his song, but I like it.

You can get it on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/FREDERIC-ALARIE-TRI ... 19b9e459dd
