started reading a thread on tpt (yeah; it is still there).. about andy's book.... blah blah.
someone called "sockii too" (no idea who that is...) posted the following from Amazon, apparently written by the screen writer who was trying to 'do' One Train;
"As a screenwriter and 25-year-fan of The Police, I dedicated a part of my life to the opportunity to adapt it into a major motion picture screenplay. Dealing with Andy's representitives was not a pleasant experience, unfortunately; and I never even had coffee with Andy. Anyhow, I found some shocking details outside of the book. In the book, he does talk about his 1981 divorce, and involvement with other women afterwards (which is fine). Nonetheless, he fails to mention that in 1982, there was born his biological son by a woman named Susan Greening. This son was later legally adopted by bassist/volcaist Martin Turner of Wishbone Ash, who married Susan Greening. Now, there is definitely a connection here, because Miles Copeland discovered and managed Wishbone Ash before The Police. The brother of Martin Turner, Kim Turner, was The Police's road manager in Britain in the late 70's.
Why is Andy so tight-liped about this son? I have no facts, but I have had some limited contact with this son on internet social networking. Nice young man, and doing well; but not comfortable discussing his biological father. That's all I will say, because I do care about him as a friend. As far as Andy Summers, it would take a lot for him to earn my respect again."
