I got a Shirley Temple doll from my grandmother when I was 7. Being the youngest in my family almost all of my toys were hand-me-downs so to have a NEW doll that was mine alone was extra exciting.

One year my brother got bongo drums. Had I gotten those, they would have been the best Christmas gift EVER. I was massively jealous.

Another thought-provoking question on the SC.net! I'm still working on the "worst present ever". My immediate response is "another safe holiday with loved ones", but I know what you mean, shy,and I will have to get back to you on that.

Well, it would have to be a belated present to myself. Yesterday while wandering through a flea market, I found 4 issues of Creem magazine from 1980-82 that had Police interviews in them. They were 50 cents each.

One of the best presents I ever got as a kid was an Electronic Football game. the kind with the vibrating board and you could order any NFL team's little dudes you like...

Got to agree with ltwoman though. After what seems to have been a fairly pissey year for a lot of people I'm very thankful for a wonderful Christmas day with my daughter.

My best gift this year was definately the Tourzilla sweatshirt that she gave me.

My boyfriend witnessed my meltdown of excitement upon spying this pen when I was getting lamination sheets (well for my Stewart-on-a-polo-horse Kinda' ornaments), and then later procured it for a great surprise!!! It's the little things folks

The gift my daughter, Sporterella, gave me this year certainly ranks among the best I've received. She made it herself in visual arts class when they were learning how to silk screen. Check it out. And Stewart, please don't smite her.

ETA: That refillable Sharpie sounds pretty geekalicious, falcon. I'll have to get me one, too!
