Wow! That was some pretty hard core drum porn. Thanks for sharing your beauties with us, Skaman. As BB said, it looks like you've also got a sweet parking space for your chariot. Congrats.

That is one sweet ride Ska Man - and I don't just mean the blue bell!
Dig the Octobans - I've got the same sized set made by Ayotte
(couldn't find those big-uns made by Tama anywhere in Vancouver in the mid 80's)
Right on buddy!

SiiiiiiiiiCK! The set is a beauty, Ska. Congrats on finishing it! The drums must really boom throughout that very ample space you've got there. The octos are long and badass. I remember the great story of how you acquired them. Have you told us that story here before? You have a genuine one-of-a-Skaman-kind of kit, with a nice amount of SC influence sprinkled around. If I was a pro drummer I would do the same. Derive my own style with hints of my favorite influences here and there. Exactly what did you have to do to convert the Ludwig into a timbale? I want to get one with a nice buddla-bang Marley sound to it. Don't you have an SC snare too? I thought you did. Funny to see the one lone Paiste amid all that Zilj! Great tribute to the Master, Skadude.

Thank you, at times I didn't think I would ever complete it. I am flirting with the idea of getting a double pedal. My first Kit TAMA Royalstar had two kicks (14x22) with independent pedals I like that feel better. I don't have a SC snare. I have managed to create a sound I like however I do dream of having one who knows what Santa may bring

The Octobans are amazing. The story behind them..... I saw an ad on craiglist for a set of Octobans. I went to view them. The street I turned onto is called Reggatta road. I arrived at the house, however the Octobans he had for sale where to small. He then went to the back room and pulled out these dusty old Octobans the Octobans you now see. I had to buy the stands, heads, hoops and a few lugs to restore them. I couldn't believe it

In order to convert the snare into a timbale Yardie Stylee, remove the bottom head and the snares. Then tighten the batter head as tightly as possible baby. You’ll know the sound
