Just wanted to give a shout out to all the sc.net forum folks. I've been reading the posts for some time now, and figured it was about time to register and participate.
My rhythmic life was changed when a bandmate of mine turned me on to Mr. Copeland's drumming back in high school....been hooked ever since.
I put a post in the 'links' section to a recent interview with the man over at the suicide girls website. Sorry for the link not coming through properly...I thought I had it right, but I couldn't have been more wrong. DOH!

I graduated in '92, so definitely after the Police. Of course, my brother had Synchronicity on vinyl when I was 11 years old but I did not become a musician until HS....and that's when as I like to say my rhythmic life changed forever. Everything sounds different to my drummer ears from that point forward.

My first kit was a set of Pearls, and I was really into hard rock & heavy metal at the time so I had a double bass setup. Of course, I got rid of that second kick and threw three toms across the rack and put up tons of splash cymbals once I heard Stewart's drumming. I even managed to get myself a set of Tama octobans as well....ahh gear!

I think that here, for many of us, strange things happens the same as you. The Police/SC/KK music changed our lives.
Maybe that is why Gio said we are crazy, and is true, we are crazy about this kind of music

Yeah, some people think we are crazy.
I have this passion/addiction to Police's and SC's music, as many of us here.
The other day my older sister asked me about how was my last quick trip to the border of Mex/Usa.
She asked me what do I bought; I said I found gold buying 'Everyone Stares DVD, and that was the only thing that I got.
Her face was very surprised
looking at me. Told me, she was thinking that I am the same crazy sister as always, loving with passion rock & roll music.
My world rocks since many time ago...
