"Yes, drummers sleep with their guitars too"
So I have always had a few guitars around my drum kit.
- a black Mexican Telecaster
- a sunburst Fender bass (Stingo's copy)
- Fender banjo
- Fender elec mandolin
- Fender Dobro (resonator acoustic, think Dire Straits)
- Simon and Patrick acoustic
I have been recording for a long while and couldn't get a "certain" guitar sound I wanted. Kinda like a Neil Young, Daniel Lanois sound.
Last week a found a weird one.
- 2007 re-issue of a Danelectro Pro in Keen Green (looks like a paddle) Cool warm sound.
BUT TONIGHT !!!
I pick up a freaking dream. This is like the green sparkle Tama kit of Stewarts...but in a Gibson Les Paul form! and this is a Robot. This guitar tunes itself. It has motors that will tune to any setting you like. On stage I can switch to open G or whatever in seconds, no guitar swapping. I only wanted a green Les Paul. This one was waaaay cheaper (limited edition too) guitarists were afraid or insulted by it. It was over $3000. Now it;s around a grand. Hard to find too.
I will be playing a sparkle green Les Paul tonight.
So another thing has gone right ! (DM was the first, YES !) maybe this coming year can be good.
You guys are gonna be hearing some crap soon....watch out.
Yours Truly:
Bongo Page. YeHaaaaaawwwww !!!
