See the news page?

Hey gang, something changed in the news section, with some external ads; you know that visiting them...helps.
You can find them not only in the news section, but in some other areas of this web; they are all music related, and sincerely, I was curious to visit some of them (I found very interesting informations...).
I'll remind you about visiting them every now and then about, it's a simple click.
Thanks people!

Gio, I must be missing it but I don't see any advertisements on the News page, just links to where there are Stewart pieces.

Am I missing something?

Guilty as charged Sir!

I seldom look at the news page but will remember to do so in future.

Will also donate as soon as some of my B***** customers settle their accounts.

The ads are very, very small - right at the top of the news page.

Hope it contributes to the costs guys. Can I ask again for a 'sticky' topic that stays at the top of the Krypton forum which explains how things work, and how to donate? I'm sure I'm not the only person who realised a long time after joining that this is run and paid for by volunteers.

Now I understand.

I am able to see them from my home computer but they are blocked at work. So I couldn't see them when I first looked since they weren't there on my screen.

Ugh.

ETA Just a note of clarification. I think we should all try to occasionally click on the ads to help out SC.net. It just annoys me that sometimes the Googleads are such that they actually dissuade people from ever clicking them. Certainly not Team Italia's fault, though.

Yeah, Google generates them dynamically on their end -- and over the years, I've grown accustomed to not even seeing them. But whenever I hop on over here, I try to click on a few -- I can certainly spare the 20 seconds. And some of the options are pretty funny. I've gotten some decent ones (like for an actually good local rock station), but I think the best have been Join a jazz workshop! on the Gizmo video page, Stewart & Co. Salon on a bunch of pages, and my personal favorite: an ad for wedding bands on the early career/Curved Air bio page.

ETA: I agree with smudge about the idea of making this info ever-present, both for newcomers and as a reminder to the, er, oldcomers as well:

I've been trying to pop over to the news page each visit and click a few. Here is the dealio...they don't seem to launch anything for me and it seems as though they should. Could this be because of my pop-up blocker and if so, does it do any good to click them without disabling the pop-up blocker?
