The new Sting album that I listened

I had the chance to listen to all the tracks of the new cd as I could have a special... ok, you know.
People, the man is always one step ahead many others, there is NO doubt at all...ok, keep it as my own opinion, but this is another gem coming out of a great artist, and it's not easy, especialy when you have such a glorious past and you always have to give something interesting.
This is another journey on a different path, and this is what I love about Sting; you may like or dislike a new record for so many different reasons, but what can't be discussed is his cleverness and ability to create music; among so many instruments used, he kept it simple, easy to listen to (I guess being with The Police again drove him back to this attitude) but the main 'instrument' used is definitely 'Winter', you know what I mean? Listen to this record on a winter night when outside is snowing, and I'm sure you will be totally blown away, with the heat/sound of his voice and the sound/heat of burning wood.
Amazing.

Saw an extract of the dvd as well, but that's about 6 minutes, a little bit longer than the amazon link we shared some weeks ago.

Is it a lute album, Gio?

[quote]Well here Sting discusses his new forhcoming winter album.. I watched it and for me is an amazing solo work I agree Sting perspective about winter season (in spite of the fact in Lima never snowed, but in other corners of Peru yep - in the Andes I mean - Cool work and arragements ... in the first song I remind Sting tune voice of "Gabriel Message" also shows a new version of "Mercury Falling" and Sting looks like a Russian Priest

It's a complete diffent kind of project than the lute album, even if he plays lute in one of the songs; the lute album was a classical music album, this one is definitely more folkish and acoustic, but sounds very Sting, if you know what I mean.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I heard the previews that were sent by sting.com this week. I don't know how it is that I think I get it, but I believe I do.

I'll be curious to give it a listen. I'm actually much more keen on Sting's esoteric/classical stuff, such as the lute album and this project, than I am on hearing anything like Sacred Love again (gag).

Me too! This is in my Amazon cart on pre-order. I admit, I'm not all that excited about it but at this point I gotta have it to be "complete", lol, and I am curious. I really did like the lute cd, but I like classical music, even though I don't listen to it much.
