Holy crap-a-doodle! Even though I can't find a book store selling it yet, Strange Things Happen has already been released in Canada according to http://www.harpercollins.ca. In fact, if you search for the book on that site you can "browse inside" and read at least ten full chapters from different sections of the book. You can also see some pictures, a full table of contents, the acknowledgements and a list of photo credits. Those who are chopping at the bit to read the book can set their teeth into a pretty large chunk of it. Enjoy, but please keep in mind the Strange Thing virgins who are saving themselves for the real paper and ink experience. Be careful not to drop too many spoilers. I haven't read more than the table of contents and I had to stop myself from saying too much in this post.

HA! I did a little edit to correct a honky spelling error in the title. Now it looks like DM can't spell. Sorry dear.

Wow. Those are some damn extensive -- excessive even -- excerpts.

Good gong! When I found these excerpts, I didn't have time to explore them fully to see just how crazy extensive they are. The first seventeen chapters (130ish pages) are there. Even the word excessive is somehow an understatement. How could they have put that much of the book out there? Did some new misguided employee at Harper Collins get a little over enthusiastic? I haven't found any excerpts at the American HarperStudio site. I can't even find the bloody book there any more.

ETA: I'm an idiot. And too quick to post stuff without knowing what I'm talking about. Okay. It's still excessive in my view, but not all the excerpted chapters are complete. A fair number of them are though. For the rest, the site provides the first two or three pages of the chapter and then just leaves you hanging, yearning for more. Man, I got to get me this book soon!
