CROOKED VULTURES FALL TOUR [US, UK, Germany]

Tix on sale Sept. 5. Although if they're playing here, likely they're playing additional dates as well. Still, lemme know if I should vacuum the cat hair out of the guest room. ;)

p.s. This is a super small venue. I may be able to get my hands on a presale code, but likely the entire floor will be GA.

I may go for seated tix due to the usual issues (short stature, lack of tolerance for tall drunken idjits, etc.) Y'all lemme know if I'm buying for others as well. Glad to do it. I'd say I might go to the venue to camp out, but I got front row of the seated section in the online presale for both Dead Weather & Sonic Youth at this venue.

[Edited to change thread title, now that there's a list of dates]

OK, here's the full list of dates:

THEM CROOKED VULTURES

North America Fall 2009

Thu-Oct-01-09 Austin TX Stubb's
Fri-Oct-02-09 Austin TX Austin City Limits
Mon-Oct-05-09 Nashville TN War Memorial
Tue-Oct-06-09 Columbus OH LC Pavilion
Thu-Oct-08-09 Detroit MI The Fillmore
Fri-Oct-09-09 Toronto ONT Sound Academy
Sun-Oct-11-09 Boston MA House of Blues
Mon-Oct-12-09 Philadelphia PA Electric Factory
Wed-Oct-14-09 Washington DC 930 Club

None of these venues suck, of course....If I didn't live in a city featuring one of 'em, I'd go for the 9:30 show. Seeing Dave play for the hometown crowd is always a total blast. (Plus, I've personally seen a skillion great live shows at that venue, may be biased)

P.S. Ooooooh, Columbus. Betcha there'll be at least 1 Nutter @ that show, and a squadron in Philly. ;)

Actually the Electric Factory kind of does. Unless you get there when the doors open to secure a spot at the front of the floor (where you're subject to moshing) or lining the edge of the upper balcony (which admittedly does have some great vantage points for drum-watchers), it sucks hard. From past hard-learned experience you don't go there unless you're willing to go early and endure whatever lousy opening bands you have to if you want a space where you can not just see but even just hear anything (the acoustics are dreadful in some spots towards the back.)

The logistics of this is kicking my arse; if I do any shows at all, it will probably only be Philly and DC. Or, I may have to hold my water and just hope for some west coast dates. DAMN YOU GROHL, STOP TORMENTING ME!!!

If they add an NYC date (seriously, TCV? No NYC? Really? Seriously? You wanna do that? Really?), could someone please give me a shout? I'm on the mailing list and I'm keeping an ear out, but just in case I somehow miss it, I'd be much obliged if someone would kick me in the head if the words "New York" or "New Jersey" pop up.

Congrats, ticket-holders!

I had a 10:00 presale code for the 930 club in DC and it was sold out by 10:30! Oh well.

Will do 4 sho, DM. You also might want to sign onto the forums over at ThemCrookedVultures.com...there's a lot of info flying around this morning about shows, although I haven't seen anything NYC-specific (also a lot of comments re: no West Coast shows.)

That reeeeally sucks Amy! Keep trying - a lot of people, self included, were reporting they were getting tickets an hour into the presale. I just kept hitting 'refresh', as the other Nutters taught me to do back in the Police presale days ;)

Edit: GO! GO! GO!!! Folks on TCV reporting 9:30 just put out more tix!

Woohoo, not until January! Thank you Rock Gods!

Though Festering Hall in the middle of an Australian summer will be a freakin' sauna. Still, it's not a good show unless you sweat your arse off, is it? :P
