Another Ben Hur article but with new info

This new article in Variety lets it slip that Ben Hur will go on to play South America and Australia after its European run. I think I can hear the Southern Hemispheric squeeeing from here.

I guess the North American market is too small to be considered. *ducks*

ETA: I just checked the Ben Hur website to see if it was posting the South American and Australian dates yet. It is not, but they have dates into 2010. The show will be in Madrid in early January 2010. The next date posted is for an extended run in Berlin in August and September 2010. That leaves a lot of time in between to tour South America, Australia and many more places. It looks like Tourzilla has a brother, The Big Ben Tur.

The Ben Hur people replied to a comment I left a few months back saying they were planning to go to North America in 2010. But that was several months ago.
