Stewart #2 on list of drummers (sort of #5)

Stewart is number 2 on the list of Drummers Not Named Bonham, Moon or Peart.

Dave Grohl is #1 on the list. Mitch Mitchell is sometime overlloked as a great drummer but he is #5 here.

I would put Stewart ahead of Peart myself.

I'm not really digging the other drummers on the list.

And . . . of course I would put Stewart waaayy ahead of Peart on any list. I would actually put him above of Bonham as well, whom I love but have always thought was slightly overrated (ducks) and tied with Moon.

However, I must admit I enjoyed seeing Rush's bit in "I Love You, Man."

The problem with these list it always rock drummers I wonder why ???

I am still waiting for them to truely recognize what a true drummer is a drummer who is capable of flirting with many genres. lebanese music, Punk, Rock, Jazz, Ska, Reggae,Pop and dare I say fusion into their repetoire. hmmmm these list..... Whatever I'm sure Dave Grohl would trade places with Stewart

Really liking seeing Janet Weiss and Brendan Canty on that list. Gives the reviewer's opinion more weight, IMO - he's not just regurgitating what everybody else keeps telling him. Tho I do question his decision to put DG before SC, personally.
