Actually, National Tequila Day in the US was yesterday, July 24 (damn, I used to be more on the ball). However, I don't think that should stop anyone from downing a few of shots in honor of this fine national holiday. Actually, I am not sure who deemed July 24 National Tequila Day, but if the people over at bravotv.com say its tequila day, do you really need another excuse to break out the limes?



PS After careful consideration, I have decided NOT to label this post as OT

Also, National Watermelon Day is also coming up - another Nutter appropriate holiday, though, in my book, not nearly as festive as Tequila Day.

Dang! I didn't know that. I just had watermelon so I guess I have my days mixed up.
Wonder if I can make up for it if I have a shot now??

I vote it's like any holiday- if it falls on a FRIDAY, you must celebrate all weekend long, right?

I say a MINIMUM of 2 shots is required to make up for such an oversight

So today is Tequila AND Watermelon Day? Mmmmm

I have watermelon in the house but no tequila so I'll raise a virtual margarita & eat a slice of watermelon in celebration.
