Ok, way off topic, but last Sunday I saw that "More Than Words" band Extreme at the House Of Blues in Anaheim and for the last song they brought out the amazing Sheila E and did an absolutely mayhem-filled, rocked-up, funktified, extraordinary version of Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' as a tribute to Mj. When you let Miss E. fly no-holds-barred - it is an event to witness. She still works it like she was 20. I saw her drum for Prince in the 80's and she has lost none of her spark. Sound familiar?

She was the perc/timbali player for Prince back in the day right ? Yea, I guess she was on drums sometimes too, I remember now.
I confuse her sometimes with that wicked drummer Lenny Kravitz used to have...I dug her style, with the big frow, she was awesome.
I am gonna youtube for Shelia E now...
Thanks for the 80's flashback.
BB.

She is a show-stealer. I saw her with Ringo Starr a few years ago and she got the attention. She has such a presence on stage that is really impressive.
I can't find the thread right now but a few weeks ago someone put in this forum a link to a youtube video with Stewart, Stanely Clarke, Flea, and Shelia E and Shelia stole the song.

Shiela E. is the bomb. BB: that's the truly amazing Cindy Blackman, influenced by Art Blakey and Tony Williams. In a word...killer!
