It was at about this time a year ago today I was waiting for The Police to take the stage at Red Rocks and in my hands was the legandary Flag. It was my pleasure and priviledge to represent Copelandia that night. And it was so much fun sharing the experience with so many Nutters.

And what a kick-ass show too!

happy happy, shyv... i was driving this morning and found myself, yet again, thinking about my flag-bearing night. STILL fucking brilliant, STILL explaining it to lots of people with barely-contined exuberance and way too much information.... although i think ive got the explanation down to three or four sentences now for complete strangers, which is not bad.

Smax I know how you feel.
It was my daughters school BBQ yesterday to celebrate she's leaving primary school to go to the 'big school'.
Well so many mums and dads around I had to tell them about my flag and MSG experience thanks to Stewart only for my 10 year old daughter to come up mid conversation '...Oh Dad you still going on about that 12 months on .... '
LOL you gotta laugh.... it means alot. And will.Always.

Happy Flagiversary, shyv! It would be hard to forget your experience at Red Rocks. I can't forget it, and I've only ever seen pictures and heard stories. At a recent English Beat concert I was talking to one of the guitarists in the reconstituted band. He was telling me some of the stops they'd be making on the tour. When he mentioned Red Rocks, I enthused at what a beautiful venue it is. He asked me who I saw there and I had to sheepishly admit that I had only seen photos of the place.
Smax and stevel, I can definitely relate to your situation. If people ask me a question that I sense will lead to a Flag tale, I usually warn them, "Don't ask that unless you're up for a long story." I'd love to know how you got the story down to three or four sentences for strangers.

Those were great photos and a great post, very enjoyable. Yep, I was nostalgic this past weekend, 2 yrs on the 14th since I almost danced off of the trackside bench at The Police's Churchill Downs show, just couldn't believe that THERE THEY WERE!! AND I was BREATHING THEIR AIR!! Talk about a hyperventilatin'-16-yr.-old flash back moment!! Everyone should have one  !!!
So thanx for a good reminder....hope it brings all the Nutters Tour memories back for a minute....
