I Sky plussed this a week or so and have only just sat down to watch it, it has been on before I realise now...

anyway the penultimate act on the programme are The Police playing MIAB in some Uni, apparently the first live performance of said song. It is a good quality recording.

If anyone would like a copy of the programme, it also features Tom Petty, Carlos Santana, Thin Lizzy and U2 amongst others then drop me an email at halcyonlisa at hotmail dot com and I'll endeavour to post some out, although speed is not of the essence as I can only record them onto DVD in real time and have not yet found a way to copy the recordings once put onto disk.

that's the ole hatfield gig, isn't it? they used that a lot in the Ages of Rock series that the police played an unexpectedly large part in.

is it the intro where gordo says his best geordie "int'restin'" to a rowdy bunch and quietens them with a teacherly death stare..... love it.
