"Cajon" or "The Box" is an afroperuvian percussion instrument made of wood with a hole and playing by hands.. It is essential part of afro-peruvian music developed in Peru by the descendants of african slaves that came to Peru in the 16th century. On the 70's a peruvian "Cajon" percussionist visited Spain with peruvian amazing legend singer-composer "Chabuca Granda" and gave his "Cajon" as a gift to extraordinary spanish guitarist "Paco de Lucia", who adopted it since those day like a percussion part of "Flamenco" music.
