A new compilation CD covering George Harrison's career called "Let It Roll: The Songs of George Harrison" is going to be released on June 16.

I saw the track listing this morning and am very pleased with it:
1. Got My Mind Set On You
2. Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
3. The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)
4. My Sweet Lord
5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Live)
6. All Things Must Pass
7. Any Road
8. This Is Love
9. All Those Years Ago
10. Marwa Blues
11. What Is Life
12. Rising Sun
13. When We Was Fab
14. Something (Live)
15. Blow Away
16. Cheer Down
17. Here Comes The Sun (Live)
18. I Don't Want To Do It
19. Isn't It A Pity

All of the songs have been released before (at least in some version). Not really a greatest hits since several of the songs are great songs that were never hits such as Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp.

I am especially pleased to see several songs from George's most underrated album, the posthumous release Brainwashed, such as Any Road, Marwa Blues, and Rising Sun.

The only Beatles tunes are live versions from the Concert for Bangladesh.

Heard a track from the new Wilco album the other day and the guitar part reeked of George. I couldn't stop smiling.

Looking forward to it! George goes back and forth with Paul as my favorite Beatle. (There -- did I sound enough like a 14 year old girl, circa 1965?)
