It's the end. The best we can hope for is twenty years from now there might be some award show that they play at. I'll bring my kids, lol.

Edit: I opened up the article and he said in twenty years. Who's psychic? I am! :P

Methinks the press went fishing for a good headline when Stewart made nothing but a very tongue-in-cheek comment.

>"I'd recommend that every artist should do it every 20 years.
>So call me in 20 years," said the 56-year-old.

In other words, don't get yourselves all riled up and anxious, folks.

I guess I should save money for the tour in 2027. Can't wait.

I agree with Sockii that the press found a headline based on a tongue in cheep Stewart comment.

I do not beleive the Police iwll tour again, at least before 2027. It wouldn't surprise me though if in a few years they go together for some charity show. "Yes we said we were done but [FILL IN CAUSE] is just too important for us not to do our part."

i think all new threads suggesting that more shows are coming (without solid evidence) should be banned. GOD is it boring reading the same desperate nonsense! stingus should be ashamed of their latest tabloid headline! sorry but if i see one more rubbish reunion headline i'm gonna scream. go back to your conspiracy theories people!

Since you mentioned conspiracy theories, the reason Sting wants to do another tour is to distract the police (with a small p) from finally grasping that he is the second shooter who killed JFK in 1963.

Ah yes. The old 'ten year old geordie with a pea shooter on the grassy knoll' hypothesis, curiously overlooked by Oliver Stone. :-)

ETA: But I'm with tj7 - enough already.

Oh dear are we now going to have 20 years of these rumors?
And speculation? Please tell me no.

Clearly whoever is picking up these quotes and publishing them as if it's really going to happen hasn't done the simple math of taking the ages of Stewart, Sting, and (gulp) Andy and adding 20. As soon as I saw "ask me in 20 years" I knew it had to be a joke.

Yea, somehow I don't see Andy doing his scissor jump on stage at 86 years of age....then again.....ever heard of the Rolling Stones? lol

I do hope they play a few more shows ala Live Earth or something worthwhile before it becomes physically impossible, or worse.....a joke.

This is what the journalism profession casually refer to as a stretch.

Well at least they spelled his name right, that's something.

I actually heard one of our local radio stations picking up on this "story" as talk of another tour "soon"...how pathetic is that?

Ya and after Stewart and Andy finally give up hope, we'll all be 'surprised' :p
