Since I made the initiative for making a meeting in front of peruvian parlament for claiming the reduction of taxes to musical spectacles, I never imagine how success it cause on peruvians fans and entertainment industry of Peru... I made it some days before the concert of THE POLICE made in Santiago de Chile on December 2007, where I went there and met Stewart, because "THE POLICE" never came to my country.
I was frustated by it and more, because I want "THE POLICE" experienced what today every rock star felt with peruvian audience... an special feeling, wildness, warm, and passion with one of the biggest press coverages made worldwide for any rock concert in Peru... This story of great concerts in Peru started in 2008...now in 2009 Peru became a hot place for rock concerts in South America... REM, Peter Gabriel, B'52, Duran Duran, KISS, Iron Maiden, Oasis, Travis, Soul Assylum, only had recognition to the great shows they made in Peru and the passion of peruvian fans... That's what THE POLICE lost in their reunion tour and more for visiting outstanding places that this year Andy Summers visited in the Andes of Peru and loved so much... now Peru is starting replacing other countries in the area for bringing big shows, we have the passion, a big audience of hungry fans, and the stadiums and arenas for reaching it... some gossips says AC/DC will be scheduled their show to Peru in replace of another south american country ::)
Well the story continue, becuase the "Jonas Brothers" trio will be landed in Peru in some days for starting his Latin American Tour... Jonas Brothers concert in Lima Peru of May 19th was a sold out in National Stadium of LIma - Peru for about 45,000 tickets sold in only 2 days.... So, they announced another second concert in PERU for being book at May 18th... So around 100,000 peruvian fans will be see those americans trio and starts again the fever and warmets devotion that only a place like Peru will offer to musical stars
this some of the links that announced the second concert added to PERU for the success and demand of tickets from People of Peru, Ecuador, Colombia nad more... the stabilty, the strategical and geographical location of Peru, plus a big population and variety of scenaries for rock concerts, and the most the fever and passion of peruvians for musical big events made Peru what I ever imagine like one of the most hottest places for rock concerts in South America... and the bad for me is that THE POLICE never could feel that... ???
