i'm on the complete other side of the boat, as i seem to keep acquiring lots of new stuff. i got the T3 and aliens soundtracks, found out i missed out on the limited edition predator, tho. also been getting some of alec empire's solo stuff. he's not all that talented, but i still find a good bit of it entertaining. plan to get the new helmet album soon.
do you have all the genesis material out there? by my count there are 14 studio albums, five live albums, and two box sets. even i don't have all of it yet, but i'm not made of money either, so i have to space it out.
but mostly i've been building my bob marley collection. i've picked up about 20 cds this year so far, with another 4-disc box set due to arrive shortly. his work is about the most uplifting music i've ever heard. really, no one should be without the songs of freedom box set at least!
amid all these acquisitions, i do still crave something that's actually new AND good. divemistrees' mention of brazilian techno months back still leaves me curious.
