Yo Nutters:
Here's the lowdown on the group ticket scene for the La Jolla Music Festival.
I spoke to a lovely group ticket sales person who, "Looks forward to working with us." She doesn't know us....yet.
There are 2 discounts given for group tickets.
10% for 10-14 people ------> $60 tickets -----> $54
20% for 15 or more -------> $60 tickets -----> $48
(There are $40 tickets, too. People expressed interest in the $60)
So, we'd have to reserve at least 10 seats to get a group rate.
The sooner we reserve our seats the better our chances of getting our preferred location (s). Ticket sales open up to the public May 1 or 4, she didn't remember, at which point all heck could break loose.
She pointed out that since this particular show features 'a big name' (ya' don't say) she's not sure if ticket sales are going to be brisker than normal.
That said, I think the sooner we get our butts in gear the better. I know August is a long way down the pike, but let's start a list of people who definitely want to go the group route and see if we've got at least 10 folks interested. If so, we'll roll with it. We can always add more people to the group.
If we do end up going with group tickets, we'll need to put a 50% deposit on a credit card. I'm willing to do that. Because I just KNOW you're all good, decent Nutters and will pay me for your ticket.
If someone else would like to take the reins and do the ticket thing, lemme know. I just didn't want everyone to think someone was looking into this and find out no one was.
So, let's start a list with peeps definitely interested in group tickets.
Copy and add your name to the list.
