David Tennant's back. Ahhh. :D *sigh* Haven't watched it yet, snagging it... will be a while.

I know there are some Doctor Who fans here, anyone watch it yet?

Hi Folks,

It was awful. Usual Russel T. Davies nonsense.
Once Moffat is head of writing next year, things will turn around for the good.
There was a nice little mention of what is to come, though. 'Four Knocks'. Nice touch.

I concur with wombat's assessment of the episode, although I've enjoyed some of Mr Davies' other stuff. Best thing about it was staring at a half demolished bus in the dunes of Dubai, and admiring the unimpeachable handiwork of the set dressers. I've had to rake over long jump pits - this was a whole other level of sand management.

(The bus in question got trashed in the course of being offloaded from a container ship in Dubai prior to the location filming. To be precise, the top deck got taken out by a container on the end of a crane. Rather than ghastly CGI fixes, the identical twin bus back in studio in London was then meticulously crushed to match. Now that's what I call continuity. And why I don't begrudge the BBC my TV license fee.)

I started to get bored after The Doctor and that woman started walking off through the desert. It picked up at the end though...

Well how many more specials do you think we have with David?
