And why can't these reporters spell Stewart's name right?

I just read that article and fumed at how people can't do their homework when it comes to Stewart's first name.

When will it happen? When they stop relying on corporate types to vote on these sort of things. Will that happen? Probably not.

I guess these big desicion maker-types get confused as soon as they can't clap along to a 7/4 Rush beat so just go on to the next pop song.

You have to love a reporter who can't even bother to wiki before he writes an article.

'Prog Rock' is a ghastly term, and really should be binned (in my worthless opinion). It seems to have ended up as a catch-all classification for a wide range of stuff, including a whole lot of bloated, wanky shite (much of which sits in my vinyl collection).

FFS - it is all music. You like it, or you don't. Let your ears be your pilot. Sod the awards nonsense :-)

Hah a post that links to an article full of lazy reporting on the same day we see a post quoting a former bandmate of Stewart's accusing Stewart of being lazy (but to his credit got to witness the error of that misjudgement and eat crow) on April Fool's day.

My birth certificate even got my name wrong, so this kind of thing makes me especially nuts, but jeesh, my name's not all over, well, history.

It's Stewart as in Jimmy,
and Stewart as in Jon.
If you spell it like the Queen of Scots,
you are absolutely wrong.

/name rant. Thank you.
the initial selections are made by a committee of 30 to 35 music business people . . . From there the list gets sent out to a much larger group, which Peresman says is made up of “around 500 to 600 people,”
That's it? That's how many (or rather, few) voters there are for this Big Damn Honor? That's only about the first 15 rows on the floor at Madison Square Garden, minus folks in the restroom and in line for beer.

I knew the situation was bogus, but now it sounds like the Pepsi Challenge.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.
