Thank You from CG5 - Melanoma Walk, Support, Etc.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday and being with those that will be with us in spirit (especially "Leroy Coolbreeze").
To coin a phrase from Stewart...sorry for the "radio silence" on my end...
It's been a long winter to say the least. Surgeries, flu, colds--just plain ick! However I wanted to let all of you know the latest on my melanoma situation. My recent appointment with a specialist went very well and he is of the opinion I need no further treatment at this time for this new melanoma. The second surgery was sufficient. Hooray!!! He said there are no guarantees it wouldn't come back or spread, but it has a very slim chance of doing so. So for now, I only have a nice 4-1/2 inch scar on my back to show for it (some have said it looks like I had my kidney removed-my brother nearly passed out when he saw it-wimp ). Thanks for all the friendship, love, prayers, support, etc. from all of you during this time. It was tough this time around and I pray this is the last time I have to deal with it. All I can say is EARLY DETECTION is key. So please check your skin monthly.
And finally, a special thanks to Amy for all her wonderful work to organization the event, to Skip & others for helping with the shirt design and anyone else I've missed who has lended a hand--spreading the word, bumping the thread, donating, walking, etc., etc. I'm really touched by it all.
Nutters are the best. I love you guys!
