From Henry :
I don't know if this will work , but you can try it. this the teaser for the movie that Lionel Guedj and i are working on.

There are plenty of friends in it, The Police, the Pretty Things, the Flying Padovanis, Jeff Beck, Kim Wilde, Glen Matlock, Topper, Jean Jacques Burnel, the Bangles, and many more. It is based on the book i have written ' secret police man'.

let me know what you think.

I will also try to keep you updated on the progress we make on my blog: http://henrypadovani.over-blog.com /

love and rock

-------------
Rock'n'Roll Of Corse is a stirring new documentary tracing the amazing life and artistry of guitarist Henry Padovani, directed by artist and iconoclast Lionel Guedj.

Padovani arrived in London from Corsica as a twenty-four-year-old in December 1976, planning to stay for only a few days – but he was destined to never leave. His life has borne witness to a revolutionary period in music - led by the Punk movement where Padovani immersed himself in the heart of the alternative scene and began to mix with some of the biggest artists of the time. The original guitarist for The Police, Padovani went on to work with Steward Copeland, Zucchero (who he also manages), The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Who and R.E.M. among many others. He has shared his life with those who wrote the history of Rock. And in Rock'n'Roll Of Corse, he finally tells his own.

Featuring Sting, Kim Wilde, Stewart Copeland, Topper Headon, Glen Matlock, The Flying Padovanis, Miles Copeland, Manu Katché and many more, Rock'n'Roll Of Corse is a must-see for music-lovers.

it's certainly going to be interesting... if this bit from henri's website is anything to go by:

"Pete farndon , who has left just the pretenders calls him to joins him, topper ( clash), mickey Gallagher ( session keyboards with clash, ian dury etc…) and they start auditioning for singers.
Meet steve allen ex original mirrors…
Form Samourai. Sign with robby dickens (warner chappell) and clive banks.

Rehearse for recording with the samourai several tracks with producers clive langer and alan wistanley.
14/4/83 : Pete fardon is found dead in his london flat. Henry is the first one on the premises and sees his friend pete , drowned and dead in his bath, his shoulder tattoo the only emerging piece flesh out the filthy water.
Pete townsend comes in as producer
Send topper to California for getting rid of heroin habit
Go and spend 3 weeks with topper in his Corsican village.
Go back to London..it is hopeless .Record several tracks in London with pete townsend.
But nothing can now heal the pain , pete’s death and tooper’s addiction.
Split the band."
now that's rock n roll....
