Now that Miles is no longer involved with Stingo, and he has his Bellydance Superstars to care for, I was thinking how much I miss the good old days when Miles would spin his outrageously over the top intros of the boys , and then later Animal Logic..

This was how he intro'd Animal Logic @ The Roxy 6/22/89 - from my own personal recording...

"Ladies and Gentlemen. (extremely loud applause) Ladies and Gentlemen. Tonight! Tonight, on this stage - you are about to see, what can only be described as a manifestation of God! (more loud applause) A manifestation of God, ladies and gentlemen, because - these three men and one woman - are NOT like you or I. They are, in fact, messengers of God! (more rowdy crowd noise) So holy are they, that in fact one of them - whose initials are SC... (extremely loud screaming & cheering) ...actually knows Buddha personally! Ladies and Gentlemen, will you please welcome - the most holy - the most Godly - Animal Logic!!!!"
(thunderous noise as they launch into Someone To Come To)

ahhhh, the good old days.

Thanks for typing out the intro. His intros really grabbed people's attention.

Not that I'd know what's up this year (I curse you, salmonella), but last year he had a recorded intro to BDSS that was just awesome.

Miles was the master of intros. Reading that was really cool. He was actually an artist in his own right. He sure could whip a crowd into a frenzy.

IT'S TIME FOR THE NUMBER 1 BAND OF THE 1980'S.... IT'S TIME.... FOR.... THE.... POLICE!!!!

Oh, yeah he's still the big BDSS intro this time 'round. I was 5 rows in front of the speakers and nearly got blown out of my seat when his voice came booming out extolling the mysteries and beauty of <very dramatically> THE ART OF BELLY DANCE!

Gotta love Miles. The show was great, BTW. Gotta catch it (the show, not a potentially deadly disease  ) Dive.

I love that intro....sounds like he is gonna bust a vocal chord when he hollers that one out. :D

Go Miles. Yay.

Ya think the guy who worked on the set from Knights Tale who did the intros was inspired by Miles. Almost would think so. Tee Hee.
