TP.com forum now has Sting, Andy, & Stewart sections

Postby DirtyMartini on 23 Mar 2009 20:09

With the moving around of the boards over at TP.com, separate sections for Sting, Andy, and Stewart have been created:

http://www.thepolice.com/members/commun ... /index.php (scroll down a bit)

Which I thought was a perfect opportunity to pimp a bit for Stewart's book:

http://www.thepolice.com/members/commun ... ic=11460.0
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Thanks, Kel. I will need to spend more time there.

Hopefully there can be some good Andy discussion there since he doesn't have his own.

Finally a specific location to talk about Andy. :)
Poor guy had no forum for the whole tour. (Hence my avatar on tp.com).

I think Andy doesn't "do" Internet. It's a generational issue....

Still, I don't know if it's worth joining. I get all my info on Stew in my favorite place...

Oh I know Andy doesn't "do" Internet. Can you picture him taking quizzes on facebook? Egads. No. He is ANDY. He doesn't even do digital photography. But still it's nice to have a place carved out for him.

Maybe Andy doesn't "do" Internet, but we know he e-mails Gio. Speaking of which....Giovanni, I'm still waaaay curious to know what the "Yes, I'm..." was all about. I've got a memory like an elephant for this type of thing. You tease, I nag til truth will tell.

Andy used to post over at Uncle Ian's old place occasionally....FWIW. I'll agree that it's awesome to have an Andy forum - I had the chance to bug him about it personally at Red Rocks. He made some noise like, yeah yeah, whatever, I'll get to it someday...but I do wonder if he realizes he'd have likely had his own Krypton army during the tour, so to speak, if it had had somewhere to organize.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Actually I think that was just one of the bullshit sockpuppets that plagued AUI for sometime, like "Nigel". Somewhere I have all the evidence stored.

Miles & Stewart used to occasionally post for real at AUI. As far as I can recall, Andy never did, only an impostor.

I wonder if Sean over made backups of the messageboard. It would be a shame for all that to just go away. You can still some of the threads in the wayback machine on the internet archive.

At the MSg finale, I sat next to Andy's sons (with the tickets I got from Dive). I would have mentioned it to them and could have had more luck with the younger generation than with Andy. Only I didn't realize they were Andy's sons until they joined Sting's daughters on stage during Everythings She Does. I never had a chance after that.
