Stewart is one of my heros, but I tend to laugh every time I see pics/movies of him wearing them

The thing about those shorts is that Stewart was one of very few people who actually looked great in them.

I think Stewart in white shorts and mirror(?) shades is very very classy 8)

Fashion? He may say it was the fashion back then.... but he's probably just covering.

Nahhhhhhh Mrs. Gradenko, he is not just covering.
I was a teenager like you are now in that time, and a witness:

"Those shorts shorts for men was a fashion those days."

I love soccer world cup since then, and all the Football men players used those shorts shorts like him too.

Well, almost not same size ( short short short) as Stewart's, but close.

I remember how me and my friends enjoyed seeing soccer men played with those short shorts.

Actually, the shorts were fine, it was the socks that made the outfit ridiculous by today's standards. It just cracks me up to see that outfit again.

Kim is right, it's the tube socks that was the fashion faux paus. I cringe when I see pictures of myself wearing them as a kid back then. I have to remember to burn those pictures some day.

Maybe I'm an ignoramus, but I'm not seeing the shorts photo...

I do know some others who are hooked on this Project Runway show. May have to check it out once election season is over (I'm hauling ass working on a political campaign for the next couple weeks...)

It's not a picture it's where they said, "The show isn't just for the ladies, either. Former Police drummer (and '70s short-shorts fashion victim) Stewart Copeland."
