     OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH.....my side!!

Thanks for the fabulous write up GSC.....and RE the gas, it reminds me of a time in college during a final exam no less, that one of my classmates was blowing a bloody wind-storm out his ass. He had made the decision to drink down super-thick-cut-it-with-a-knive microbrews all night long the previous evening which he must have combined with....I dunno....muskrat perhaps? A stink to end all stinks!!

So, after the Cleve show a bunch of us went to the bar at the Ritz to hang out. After a period of time, several folks went to the HOB to hang, but I guess found it closed and went to a place down the street. NancyRose, Kevin and I left the Ritz after everyone else and headed to the HOB. When we got there it was closed and we thought that was really odd! So we went to the bowling/martini place, found the rest of the group and closed the place down (who stops serving drinks at 1 a.m.??)

A day or so after I got home, I got an email from the gal I sold my extra third row tickets to. She and her friend went to the HOB right after the show. And who should walk in but Stewart. She wished him a HB and tried to follow, but security kept her back. It seems that the band and others were having a party upstairs in the Founders Room at the HOB (it's membership thing, from what I gather). She got the info from a server that Andy and Sting had gone in the back way.

I guess we should skipped the Ritz. Oh well.

But that explains why the HOB was closed. The party was upstairs, we just couldn't see it.

You want to know an even funnier thing? The night before, SamburSunset and I walked across the street from our hotel to the Corner Alley for a bite before getting a cab to see the Squirrel Nut Zippers and guess what...as we walked up the person at the door informed us it was closed due to a private party and to come back after 10! So we went over to HoB for a bite...

I had to crack up after the inverse happened (we went to the HoB but it was closed, so we went to Corner Alley) the next night, not putting it together until afterwards as well...What is it, are there like only two places in Cleveland to go?...haha...I wouldn't want to bother them while they were out but I thought it was funny that we inadvertently tried to go to the same places both nights! <giggle>

OG, we had actually walked right into the HOB but then were turned away. Hence how we ended up at the Bowling/Martini ( ) joint.

Turns out some of us were turned down for the same reason at the Bowling/Martini joint the night before.

Seems that there are only 2 places in all of Cleveland to go to.

(But I'm perfectly happy to have deferred the HOB to Stewart's birthday celebration.)

HA!

You just reminded me of something that I absolutely must share, GSC.

Gina and I text-messaged quite a bit during the two days while we each made our respective trips homeward from Cleveland. Toward the end of her journey, GinaSuperCat, while sitting on a Greyhound bus and lamenting how she still had many hours til freedom, sent what has become my fave text-message ever:

"Cat being held hostage by a big dog on wheels!"

haha I said that? Heh, y'all let me tell you how sweet DM is...she texted me, in four parts, Stewart's post to the boards as soon as he posted it so I could delight in the news!

Thanks so much for everything, sweetie! XOXO

Ahh . . . remembering back to those bygone days of Cleveland . . . way, way back a month ago . . .

Birthday decorations, a bit of Flag on the left, a bit of OutlandoGirl on the right, a brief shot of all three at the same time, and -- oh yeah -- Stewart was there, too:

Thanks DM! It was nice to see that the birthday decorations looked pretty decent from the other side of the rail!

Also nice to see that my white "Hole In My Wallet" shirt was pretty visible. I usually wear black to concerts, never white as it washes me out, but the white shows up so much better in a crowd.

I thought you'd appreciate that, OG. Finally get to see how the decorations actually looked!

Plus, we can even see that you're wearing a party hat. HA!

I don't know if Miss Outlando will ever top the CHA! t-shirt. Who prints those things, OG?

For some reason the Bordello line made me think of "don't fuck with the Jesus" from Big Lebowski...had not put their lead singer together with John Turturro previously...

GSC, I got a SIM card for my phone that'll work in Europe, so we can send messages to the kids back home. Yahoo! (Oh hey, I found out too late I got billed per message for all the texting I did back in June and July at Bonnaroo, and Dallas and whatnot...the bill was mammoth. It was pretty funny, actually.)
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

I get my shirts from Zazzle.com

I'm sure there are cheaper, but I've been pretty happy with Zazzle's ease and speedy delivery. I also like the babydoll style fit they have.
