that'll be a "no" then on the seller accepting my, erm, 'confidently' low bid after the sale had ended then....

well that was it, really.
waited til the sale was over then contacted the seller to offer 70% ish of what he wanted initially. or at least 70% of where the bidding was to start from... which i guess was the reason for his "no".. he wanted a lot more than £1000 starting point.... and then i offer him waaay less... so i'm not that surprised....

and, by gong, of course i did........... (not dismissing totally the appropriate, reasonable and justified prostestations from others here that they wouldn't feel comfortable bidding for the car)
i had no such moral issues with it and would've thoroughly enjoyed owning the car :lol:
