Update:

I sent an e-mail to Barbara last night and she replied that although she couldn't speak for what Stewart might want, she and her sister prefer Live4Life.

She read this thread and said it was a lovely idea. I told her I would let her know where and how much we donate.

Thanks, Kim. Much appreciated.

In that case -- unless we hear otherwise from Stewart -- let's assume that we'll be making donations to a Leroy Coolbreeze account with Live4Life in memory of Ian Copeland and in association with the SCnet Flag Project.

(Once Nancy has payment details, etc., she'll let us know.)

STEWART: If for ANY reason you would rather we not proceed (or prefer we follow a different direction), please send word through Giovanni and we will adjust, no questions asked. As I said originally, you may not get to talk but you do get to vote. Thanks, SC.

DM, give us a Paypal address, create one, or look up the email of the charity for the donations or tell us how you would like to proceed. I think Giovanni was pretty clear in throwing the ball entirely in our court.

You or somebody else...I cannot do it because I am leaving for Michigan next week and won't be able to use the computer much.

K, Nancy is going to contact Live4Life and make arrangements. It's going to take a little time, and we're in no hurry; once the arrangements have been squared away, she'll let us know.

I'm simply bumping this thread today in case Stewart is checking in so that we give him sufficient time and opportunity to raise any objections, etc. If we don't hear anything from him after this, we can go ahead as planned.

Wow! What a great idea....can still have fun with the flag, and do some good with it at the same time....this could lead to some press coverage that is positive for once 8)
