FRIENDS OF LEROY COOLBREEZE - Melanoma WALK - PHILLY MAY 10

Postby DirtyMartini on 15 Apr 2008 15:40
Also, has anyone pimped this over at AUI? I'm sure there are some folks there who would chip in.
Anyone else feel comfortable posting about it over there? I've had to pimp too many things in too little time of late.

I've got a freind who wants to send a check instead of paying online. How can she do that and still give us credit? Should she make a notation on the check or something?
SS, I had the same issue, so I emailed MIF. Catherine said that folks should write the name of the event, the team name, and your name on the memo line of the check or on a post-it note. MIF will then earmark it for that specific account.

Offline donations get mailed to the usual address:

Melanoma International Foundation

I believe Conroy made a post there over the weekend. I'm going to mention it on my facebook and myspace pages, and have already made it a sponsored link in the PoliceWiki.

Also need to put a donation jar in vespa's office!

Excellent. You're right. (Probably would have helped for me to look first.) Thanks, sock. Thanks, Conroy!

Donation jar at the office. Hmmm....that's a good idea.
Some of the cheapskates around here might be able to part with a buck or two.

I'd have to run it past HR first and make sure it's kosher. But you know people put flyers in the kitchen for Girl Scout cookies and pizzas and all kinds of crap. I'll give it a shot.

PS Thanks DM re: checks

We've been doing that in the past annually for the Alzheimer's Walk vespa and I take part in, and put it right by the receptionist's desk. Folks tend to throw in change or a buck or two while making their next appointment, so it definitely can work!

Finally got around to donating.

All the organizing, soliciting, and up coming walking is really impressive. Nutter community at its best.
