Columbus Percussion is a great store; I know the owner is a Yamaha endorser and he's active in PAS.

A better alternative might be MOM's Music in Louisville, Ky. Marvin Maxwell is a great guy and I used to buy tons of stuff there. Their Terry Bozzio clinic was a big success, as was Steve Smith's and Kenny Aronoff's. Plus, they sell Tama.
We're checking that one out Mike.
Jeff, I'll call Mom's next week and put in a good word for you. Did anyone get a head count at the Harrisburg clinic?

Drummike,

I would estimate 50-60 attendees.

Jeff, I just attended a PA music semminar at Lima (into the place I work) and "Yamaha Music Market" of LIma installed a great scenary for showing their products, so I talked with the manager and commented if they are interested in producing something like clinics or other with names like Stewart Copeland, cause I would like he will visit Peru, the manager was interested and mentioned if Stewart used some products they sell (Yamaha, Zildjan, fender, etc.... unfortunatelly they dont sell Tama or Paiste...) I think Stewart used some synthesizers for composing their soundtracks...isn't it? You also play clinics...What products Do you used or have any official sponssor? I also mentioned about Andy and they said me with Andy won't be any problem because they sell Fender and have the Telecaster replica too... I took lot of pics of this great event, so I will post it here for having you a view of what type of event is it.

Regards from Lima - Peru,

Jose,

Stewart has a Fender Stratocaster. I do not use any of those products.

I missed the clinic in Harrisburg but i've since moved to Lexington, KY. The local Tama dealer is http://www.drumcenteroflexington.com/ but since i've only lived here a month or so I haven't had a chance to stop in and look around -- I'm guessing MOM's in Louisville moves a lot more equipment than the Drum Center of Lexington.

Count me in for Louisville if it works out.

Mom's is big on clinics...they do a bunch. They are well stocked and the staff has been very helpful to me. I talked to Max Maxwell there today and he remembered me even though I left Louisville in the late 80s. Great store.

Thanks, Jeff. I was in Louisville Saturday and stopped in the store, but Max was in Florida.

Hope you can get it set up. I think they had Johnny Rabb for a clinic there last night.

Hey All,

A little late to the party but thought I'd chime in. The kit Jeff used at the PA clinic was actually my "near" replica.
I ordered it about 4 months before Tama released the SC signature replica in the darker blue sparkle. Some of my buddies at Hoshino (Tama) warned me that they might do it but I was impatient. I used it for a few Police tribute gigs in the NYC area but now its safely in storage until next summer, when I might do a few more tribute gigs.

I make my living as a film/TV composer and have done session/sideman work as a drummer for 10 plus years. Of course compared to a guy like's Stewart's career I'm a hack but hey, I pay the mortgage... Anyway, Jeff's clinic was fantastic. I could have stood there for another 2 hours listening to what he had to say. What was great was that my kit was actually tuned by Jeff (and he signed my gong bass drum head), sadly I had used other Tama kits for sessions and shows since but hey it sounded great that day! The one chance I had to grab dinner with Jeff and a few of the guys from Tama I was stuck in a Harrisburg hotel room remixing a theme for a CNBC show!

I would advise all to check out anything Jeff does whether it be in relation to Stewart or any of his own ventures. Great guy and great stories and insight!

There are a few more pics of that kit set up on my myspace page, as well as some info about my career (not a plug just mentioning it) www.myspace.com/patrickrfinnegan . Anyway just thought I'd post and say thanks to Jeff for a great clinic and just being an all around cool guy!
