Holy crap! How did I miss this excellent news???

Nick and Tamadude, those are two GORGEOUS babies! My very best wishes to you, your wives and the newest members of your families! I know you'll have many wonderful times together. Little boys are just the BEST!

(And remember, when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night, it is PERFECTLY acceptable for Dad to be the one to lose a little sleep...at least every once in awhile!)

Much love to you all!

I really would love to wake up but.....I'm not the one with the breast milk. (at least until she gets a pump) <ducks, runs>

Nancy, you are gender sterotyping. I have lost more sleep than my wife has due to Samuel Perry, including a long effort to stop crying from 1 to 2 this morning.

Since we have adopted. I don't have Tamadude's reason to not be the night time parent and I have stepped up, believe it or not.

Ha! I gender stereotype from experience! Actually, in our house it was more a case of who's the heavier sleeper. Andy was very hands-on and involved with Trevor when he was a baby (even had his own baby sling)...except during the night because he sleeps like the dead. (I always suspected it was a conveniently learned skill!)

Ah, it's okay...sleep is overrated anyway!

Both boys are adorable :P Hope the sleepless nights don't go on too long for you all.

Despite being the owner of the booby juice in our house, I slept like the dead and had to be shoved out of bed by my loving better half to feed the boys in the early days!

Gorgious boys! I wish a lot of sleep for the fathers (and mothers ofcourse)

You know, Tama, my hubby made me some tea in the night when I had to breastfeed. That was very appreciated :P

Stinker! That was always Mr. Mad's excuse as well. <rolls eyes> Maud's hubby gets BIG points for making tea! :)

Congrads to all! I heard about Nick's new addition, but am so happy to hear about TD's little bundle of joy as well. Ahh, the pidder-patter of two new little nutters...

my son and KK's Don't Care

Postby njperry on 21 Sep 2009 01:19

Update on Sam Perry. We are still in Houston waiting to be able to take him home to Virginia. As an interstate adoption, there are various requirements that must be met before we can take the beautiful baby across state lines.

I realized last night that a line in the klassic Klark Kent song Don't Care actually applied to our baby. Then after further thought I realized several lines apply.

Here they are (the kk lyrics are based on memory, so they may not be perfectly accurate)

"There isn't anything that could keep me down"
This is the line that caused the connection as Sam simply wouldn't go to sleep last night as he fussed and fussed. Nothing could keep him down.

"I am the neatest thing that ever hit town"
Mrs njperry and I agree that Sam is the neatest thing that ever hot town.

"You don't need to check my history"
As an adopted baby, we know next to nothing of his history and we are ok with that.
