Soooooooooooooo weird to see that the flag's next stop is Birmingham - still can't quite believe that The Police, yes THE FU*KING POLICE will be playing in our little country in just 5 days time

Deep breaths, Helen, deep breaths...

I am already worrying about the anti-climax on Monday 10th :?

I have LOVED the build up to these shows - the anticipation has been so exquisite that I almost don't want it to end. I am definitely going to be needing therapy soon

Hey Stewart, if you make it this far....We think Lima would be a great idea. As you must know the country was devastated by an 8.0 earthquake about a month ago (you Californians know the power of those damn things.) Since you guys were good enough to play New Orleans in June (which I personally appreciate greatly), there was some conversation about your playing in Lima and then donating to some of the care groups that are operating down there. Our own Jose had the idea that folks might be invited to bring a bottle of water to the show...there's also an aid group called CarePeru (http://www.care.org.pe/ ).

We realize you can't do everything you'd like, but we notice there are gigs in Chile and Argentina planned. As you may know many people in Peru are very poor and many not be able to travel so far. I think, having been in Lima myself a month or so ago, that it'd be a great shot in the arm for folks to be visited by a high-profile American band...just to show that some of us do care an awful lot about what happens to our less-fortunate neighbors.

Just an update. See you in Amsterdam. DD

...And as you know very well, Dear Stewart, we on the West Coast are always the last to wake up and the last to know..
Congratulations for keeping up da beat without a headband and with a towel/mic! From Superman, we expect this and much more...

Shall West Coasters understand if that Peru is debatable, you will probably not play other shows on the West Coast?

I guess the answer is blowing in the wind...

Hugs from the 6 arms of
