The greatest things: the Violent Impulse and Weasel's affirmation that Collins can be a great drummer when he chooses to be.
[Clears her throat]. I have seen Genesis live with Peter Gabriel at the top of their game, it was my second concert ever, and the idiot found a way to make a fool of himself by stepping off the *average* drums and singing 3 songs, presenting each one in pidgin Italian....
My hatred started there.
i saw genesis in '87, but i don't remember much of it actually... i was on a very important date and i was a little drunk.

She works so hard and gives so much of herself into this Flag and I admire that. Me and her had some complications with getting the flag to Sweden but all is ok now I think. We panicked a little this week.

Re: Phil's comment about Freddie was actually done 5 years previous and appeared on the Magic Years Videos. If my memory serves me correctly released around 1987.

I was checking You Tube and saw a ton of clips referring to Phil Collins segments on the Magic Years videos. Wasn't up to the task if any of the clips contained the interview Kalypso mentioned? Anyone with less of a life than me? Probably not. Revise. Anyone with more time on their hands that can check this out?

Animal, do not tell me....You...like...Phil....NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

The comment was used in the 1992 memorial, so he must have given permission to use it for this show to BBC, therefore there is no excuse for it. Even if made when Freddie was alive, it was a homophobic statement.

(He is also known for exibiting frat-boy behavior in other occasions).

I have the videos in my basement but they are ones I brought over from the UK pal system. I never got them converted over to Ntsc.

I also think the remaining members of Queen wouldn't have allowed the clip to be used if they thought it wasn't appropriate in their eyes.

Just my 2 cents as I saw Queen twice and was in the crowd at Wembley for the tribute concert.

In defense of Phil, regardless of his personal views, his work on the 1980 Peter Gabriel solo lp and on Robert Plant's Principal of Moments is pretty damn good. (ducking a chair being weilded by Kalypso )

However, my feeling on Phil really turned when he produced Clapton's Behind the Sun. That's when I figured out he was mostly a turd

Remember when I was in college. My girlfriend called me up. She said, listen to this and then held the phone to her radio. Phil's "Groovy Kind of Love" from the Buster soundtrack was playing. I think that she thought that was romantic. I broke up with her pretty quickly after that.

It was a wonderful concert, but for Axl Rose. But the statement was shown on TV, I don't know if they had Jumbotrons then.

Do not duck, guys, you are only breaking my heart. And Eq, your second affirmation makes me forgive you.

BTW, my peace offer is the following:

Turd yes, mediocre drummer yes, but the guy wrote More Fool Me. I love that song.
