Who would you wait out in the rain for?

I just was MISSING your GREAT avatar...One of my favorites on the board, must say.
It's OK if Eliah or anybody else's gay, I live in SF, and half of my friends are, I was not passing judgment of any kind. Live and let live, and whatever floats your boat is my life philosophy. If you find him cute and a great actor (?) it is totally OK with me.

Yes, I know everybody hates Tom. I remember the Risky Business Tom (I still have identical sunglasses) and the Top Gun Tom, and above all the Born on the 4th of July, Rain Man, Magnolia, Collateral Tom. I just love his acting, and was very sad to see that Scientology has completely transformed him. He was ruined by Catholicism, like so many of us has run away from that as soon as he grew up.

I know somebody who knows David Mischevitze (or whatever is his name) and told me that the guy is Pure Evil. I don't believe in Good/Evil, but was sad to learn what people surround Tom these days.

BTW, watched the Bowie DVD. Appears to be the same show as the earlier video release. I'd still recommend it.

Also, I remember getting a pair of RayBans just like SC during the Equalizer period (Wayfarers but with gold metal bottom rims). I remember being crushed the day they were crushed.

The ones he wears in the Animal Logic video with Stanley Clarke??

I hate the ones with the yellow frame that he wears in ATW.

Summer rain I'm sure I'd wait for a few people. Cold rain I would have waited for Freddie Mercury. I've outgrown most of my lead singer obsessions (yeah, sorry Sting!) but never Freddie. I did wait for almost 2 1/2 hours outside in December in 35F for a Wii. I was trying not to grumble, but I was thinking it might not be worth it and there should be a rock star at the end of that wait. But the Wii is fun, it was worth it.

I've waited in the rain for all sorts of people and events. Up here on the "wet coast" you often don't have a choice but to do just that.

-Countless soggy lineups for Rush tickets
-Any Police Concerts
-Various outdoor concerts/mud pitts
-I'm going to have to add my wife to the list. Without her I wouldn't have had the support to do a lot of things in life like going to see our boys (twice) and hopefully again:D :D :D
°My kid wants to be an influencer.
What the hell does that mean?
°It means I’ve failed as a parent.

If I would wait out in the rain for someone it wouldn't really mean that much because I live in the rain .

But at 106 F I would wait for

the Police

RayBans...Have you got the Lynn Goldsmith book? It's a type of military drop-shaped looking glasses (Stewart wears them mostly mirrored) en vogue in the 70s. Everybody had RayBans then.

P.S. Mrs. Gradenko, NOW I do understand why you like Elijah Wood. No one over 30 would like him.

Fuck, Conroy, had underestimated your absolutely flawless efficiency (WHO is that, Pete Doherty? Have the RayBans made a comeback?)
Thanks for the link!

Anyway, I think the worst ever for me was waiting about 7 hours in the sun at Frejus to see the Who The Kids Are Alright concert after a 2000 km trip on train and bus from Naples (at 17).
The best concert of my life. I have seen many oh many, but nothing beat that one, even more because of the emotion of the first concert without Keith.

OK, I'd wait in the rain for:

Stewart (obviously)
Julie Andrews (The Sound of Music is one of my favorite (things- HA) mvies) and she's a legend.

Peter O'Toole - He's a legend and have you seen Lawence of Arabia??
Talk about a young hottie!!!! And he's got some tales that are an absolute scream.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!
