Led Zep reunion in 2008

Probably the main point of comparison would be that the Police broke up at the peak of their success and had not reformed in public (other than the R&R HOF and Sting's wedding, but that's not quite public)... whereas LZ (Page, Plant and JPJ) have also reformed on one or more occasions as well (Atlantic Records 40th anniversary etc...), and Page and Plant have reformed a number of times as well... heck, they even put out an album together in the late '90s and toured for it as well... so, IMO, barring a return from the dead by Bonzo, a Page/Plant/JPJ reunion would probably be quite a big deal, but not at the level that this year's Police reunion tour has turned out to be... in fact, I would put a tour like on a level with the current Genesis reunion tour: big and important, but not too big and important.

Now, a Pink Floyd reunion WITH Waters... hmmm....

While I couldn't care less about a Led Zepp reunion. I am pleased you survived our heat, our humidity and our classic rock radio badness.

How do we midwesterner's take it, you ask?

By being way tougher than you can imagine. And if you thought summer was bad, just try Minnesota in February. Then you will know what pain is.

How great to see you again! I love this girl, I do. Most inventive, always gets a laugh out of me. Like Phatso, or Hannaha.
I married a Midwesterner, and he always says the Midwest is a great place to be "from".
I was in Ann Arbor, which is a great town, it really rocks, only at 104 degrees with 100% humidity I felt like a fish gasping for water every time I left the car or an A/C environment...
My "mission" was not a pleasure trip, one of my in-laws is really ill there, so I have seen a lot of "the other side of humanity" and it has broken my heart. It added to the "leaden" feeling of the trip. I am counting my blessings and going through some shame process about not doing it too often.
You people really tough it out, don't you. My friend in Chi-town tells me that the winters ain't for sissies either.
I am blessed to be back in breezy and cool air, even if I have a lot of work to catch up with. My ear is constantly listening for the postman, as amazon has delivered stuff early before, you never know....
What has this to do with a Led Zep reunion?
I don't know, but it was great to talk to Jen again.

I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope everything works out as well as possible.

w.r.t. our winters: high-tech fabrics make it *way* easier. Gore-Tex, windstopper fleece, etc. My outerwear is now so amazing that I can run outdoors when it's 15 degrees (F) out!

Although I'm also happy for you to think that I'm no sissy ...

I was in Scotland at a soccer match once, it was snowing in April and I thought I would die. It was "only" minus 5 Celsius. I am a fucking wimp. I really am. [going through a self-destructive phase]

Thank you for your best wishes about my bro in law. I seriously hope he makes it. Health is so precious, and we take it for granted so often.
