A lot of people moan about how crap they were at the HOF gig. They barely rehearsed for those three songs and I'm not sure any of them were in the right mental state to play together again.

One thing is for sure about 2003 - Stewart played like a motherf*cker and I expect nothing less on this tour four years later. This time they've had a few months to become the tight band we're expecting to see. Sting and co. do not want to disappoint! The way they play at the end of this month will be different from later in the summer and again in the Fall. Like a fine wine, I'm sure they'll continue to improve over time. I love these guys live.

I'm keeping the faith and I'm really psyched to hear them back together again. It won't be 77-83. I expect change. It's 2007 baby, enjoy the ride!!

The show will be exceptional. Simply put.

Now here's my question, is Henry involved?

I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up for "Visions of the Night" somewhere....maybe Paris?

That would be a cool picture.

I like how they still help the guy out. He's done well. I like that song "Coming Home" I think that's the title.

The Police Rule.

Cheers.

Stewart has said it's gonna be a great show.

He occasionally talks crap, but you know what?
I'm going to take his word for it.

No matter what others said, The Police world tour since now is an excepcional and wonderful happening.

The Police is the bigest seller concerts this year. (2007)

They sound gorgeous playing together.

Sure some musicians can´t stand about this happiness to the trio, and also to their fans...

hey guys...i kinda respect everybodys passion and love for SC fair enough...hes a legend of a drummer....i love his music and yes..he seems like a really cool guy.

I really genuinely hope everybody has the time of their lives at the upcoming gigs and the concerts are everything they hope them to be ( unless you hope them to be 'Police - Lite' of course..if you do shame on you haha)

I simply however have great difficulty with (seemingly) unconditional praise of anything their chosen favourite 'pop star' does..........to me its just odd.

Surely a forum is to discuss different (even opposing) views..or am i being naive...? is a fan forum different?...i genuinely dont know......please tell me if it is cos i can quite easily f*** off and spend the little time i spend on here in the real world....honestly it aint a problem.

anyway ..i hope all your dreams come true....the police are the police that you want to see and you all have fabulous concerts....seriously

Nevertheless, i retain my right to express concern about middle aged country estate dwelling, middle of the road , money grabbing pop stars from the 80's.

please dont get upset...its just an opinion on an internet forum..it doesnt mean anything and doesnt hurt anyone....its all in cyberspace...it aint real.......who cares!?!

Just one comment.

Stewart was the Police number one fan.

I think it says it all and to be honest no one can say anything about any concert until it's done. I am going to see my band play with no expectations just to enjoy the ride.

Stewart and Andy have wanted this for a long time. As for the money welcome to the real world.

I think the world is speaking with the sell out tickets and I don't believe the boys will rip anyone off. They have changed and so have we. I want to be apart of their history and their adventure of their lives and music.

Yes everyone has an opinion but no one has the right to put down others who appreciate and admire this brilliant band and have waited so long to see them again.

Stewart rocks and I am sure he doesn't want this crap.

Why can't everyone just enjoy this moment in life which I never thought would happen.

Stop been so negative and think positive

They will rock and Stewart said they are rocking and that's good enough for me.

Love you Stew!!!!

nah Howard, the only ones who have any right to say anything about what can be said here or not is gli Italiani and the big guy <grin>...otherwise it's all opinion and it's all fare game...that being said, be prepared for agree/disagree, since that's really all the realm of opinion can offer <chuckle> I thought you may have rather fancied being the contrary voice :P

I think some of us may have gotten excited since it seemed that fans here who were giving the Police the benefit of the doubt while they are still preparing may have felt like they were being attacked as mindless sycophants who would love anything served up, even shite...I'm there to see Stewart plays the drums in his band...and in that regard he has never been disappointing to me <cheer>

All I'm saying is that the Police are so good as musicians, and they all have been saying how good they sound and have been grooving together, that they may at least deserve the benefit of the doubt (heh I'd bet that perhaps even they may've had a doubt or two after the ball is rolling, anyone who's conscientious and who cares does...at least once or twice) at least until something starts to take shape...a new song <giggle>, the FC show, the opening shows in Vancouver, hell, even another TPT rehearsal video (omg are we due for some sort of official update...the fans are getting restless!!)

I sure hope TPT is saving up goodies to release before the FC show...if it's just a straight stretch without any updates or tidbits, I think many of us will just simply be bouncing of the walls! Plus DM needs some new material for her post as Official Bard of the Copeland Empire...

Nah....i dont think "the boys" would rip anyone off......the very thought!!!....they employ managers, promoters and ticket agents to do that for them....leaving their fluffy pink pop star hands wuvwy and cwean.

we are talking about three highly intelligent, financially astute wealthy 'pop stars' who employ the best people to ensure they dont miss a trick (or a pound of profit )

Gina.....u are correct ...i do like to be contrary from time to time.....rest assured its all genuine and sincere tho...........its just that all the (in my view) creeping on here brings it out of me more ( i dont aim that at you, by the way)

You crack me up HH!

I agree with a lot of the stuff you’ve written in this thread. I do worry that maybe I'm being ripped off, will they be worth the wait or a shadow of their former selves. I don’t know. I’ve never seen them live (just too young) so it is with a leap of faith that I bought tickets. Will they live up to my expectations? We will see… but isn’t that the case with most things in life, we don’t know whether we’re going to like something until we try it. Nothing in life is certain. Fingers crossed it’ll be all I hoped for & more if not I’ll be back in October with my virtual pitchfork & burning brand, looking for my pound of flesh
It would be ok on any other day!

I was lucky enough to see the police in their prime...as it were.

I hope with every bone in my body that everybody who didnt see them then has just the best time when they see them this year.

Maybe they wont be the same band that are burned forever into my childhood memories but if they are half as good as i remember then you are all in for a great night.

Its maybe cos they were just SO special to me that i get so wound up about them now (possibly) being 'police lite'

have a great time everyone
