his website says:

"Andy Summers videos include DVDs dedicated to his solo work and the work of The Police. Currently available DVDs include The Police: Certifiable, a video of the band’s 2007-2008 reunion tour. In the summer of 2012, a documentary version of Andy’s autobiography, One Train Later, now titled Can’t Stand Losing You will be released. Look for that documentary on DVD soon."

yo, Andy... look up 'soon' in the dictionary, would ya?

it's hard to see so many bands release their back catalogue with great bonus material

sample: http://store.universal-music.co.uk/rest ... 537141012/

and for the one band where it matters someone prefers to practise the zither or the phalange ...

uh-huh.... i felt all happy when "message in a box" came out and the synch dvd got a re-release...

gordo can spend all his time trying to get backers for his musical on broadway and learning to play the tibetan nose flute, and can give the okay for his own solo boxset (priced so he's the only one who could afford it)...

give a yes for a police one, with andy's film and photo's, stewart's derrangements, that'd be sweet.

have you seen the clash boxset that's coming out later this year, or that damned one that D just linked to, maaaaan, THAT'S how you do it.

Until then, there's still the Amnesty International DVD featuring 2 Police songs ("Message in a bottle" - "Every breath you take") from the 1986 concert at Giants Stadium coming out in the following days:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B ... lerockc-21

I've already ordered a copy on a French website (worldwide release).

There is also a CD release, but I don't know if there is only one or two songs on it.

Product Description
Get Up! Stand Up! presents highlights from The Human Rights Concerts the series of benefit concerts staged between 1986 and 1998 to raise awareness and funds for the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights organisation Amnesty International. The first set of performances come from A Conspiracy Of Hope , Amnesty s 25th anniversary US concert tour in 1986. This was followed by Human Rights Now! , the historic 5-continent 20-concert world tour undertaken in 1988. The series continued with stand-alone concerts An Embrace Of Hope in Chile in 1990 and The Struggle Continues in Paris in 1998. The list of musicians who contributed their services is extraordinary and includes some of the world s foremost artists - drawn from several nations and representing a wide range of musical styles. The primary factor uniting them was their desire to donate their time and talents to place a spotlight on Amnesty s vital work campaigning for people whose human rights are abused. Building on the achievements of Amnesty s legendary Secret Policeman s Ball benefit shows, albums and movies - these concerts brought awareness of the cause to an ever-wider public. This new release is designed to continue that mission and raise further funds for Amnesty s crucial work.

A DVD-boxset is planned for an October release, but I think it's only for the 1988 concerts.

Sorry if it's already been posted elsewhere on the forum.

Of course, everyone here probably has the whole concert already, but it's always nice to see a Police release.

Yes I have seen The Clash's big boombox set and it looks pretty cool. Hmm, what other top 80s band should release something like that? I wonder...
