Update: I got an Amazon Kindle. Not the new one - kinda sucks for Mr. Dive to have not had a choice since they didn't announce the DX till this week - but can I tell ya the thing is really cool!

It downloads books nearly instantly. Although for some reason it takes a while, like a half hour, for it to get an issue of the NY Times. Go figure.

I think it's really gonna save my bacon on long plane trips, since I read pretty fast and usually have to haul around a ton of literature to keep from going starkers.
