wow, just read your blog entries about your journey. That is amazing and the photos are awesome. sorry you had a wipeout, but so very glad you are ok. I like the GREEN tape you used.

Big kudos to you, Lynne!! So glad you and your intrepid bunch had a successful ride! Hope you're healing well after your spill...we expect you to be dancing in the aisles in Concord, y'know! Get some rest this week!!

Hi everyone! Thanks for your great wishes. I am home now and trying to get back in my normal groove, although I'd rather still be out on my bike ...
I've updated the blog to cover the whole ride of Team Corps of Discovery:

It was really great to get out and see the country this way, to meet lots of local folks and other travelers, and to push myself to ride longer distances on successive days than I've ever ridden before.
And I'm happy to report that my gravel crash injury is healing nicely (I liked the green med tape too!). This pic might amuse you:

The gravel really chewed up my hands, and after I bandaged them, we all joked that I looked like I was taping my hands for a gig

In addition to the Ian/Stewart connection here, one of my fellow riders on Team Corps of Discovery is a melanoma survivor as well. So we were mindful every day about sunscreen, about not riding during the most intense hours of the day, and about the importance of melanoma awareness.

What a fabulous thing to do Lynne. Props to you from a pedestrian in London who has a rear end that is hurting just thinking about that many hours in the saddle.
One small observation - gloves m'dear. Faster than tape, less sticky, and preventative to boot. This year's must-have, hand-damage-limiting accessory
